1. Operating Bymond & BigBlueButton.Host

My primary operational focus continues to be Bymond Private Limited and our flagship virtual classroom platform, BigBlueButton.Host:

  • Managing daily Linux cloud server infrastructure, coturn media relay nodes, and dedicated virtual classroom clusters for our educational clients.
  • Hardening node isolation, refining zero-downtime maintenance procedures, and maintaining high uptime standards.
  • Overseeing customer onboarding, quote-to-cash billing lifecycles, and technical account health.

2. Engineering & Systems Projects

When not handling customer operations, I am actively building:

  • Fleet Observability: Refining our internal Prometheus and Grafana metrics cockpit to provide second-by-second visibility into UDP packet drops, coturn relay session allocations, and recording pipeline queues across our distributed Linux hosts.
  • Recording Lifecycle Automation: Expanding our post-publish recording archival pipelines to support multi-cloud cold storage backends with automated verification checksums.
  • Edge-First Web Architecture: Exploring modern static-first frameworks (like Astro) and Cloudflare serverless edge functions to deliver blazing fast, zero-maintenance digital web properties.

3. Advisory & Technical Due Diligence

I reserve dedicated weekly bandwidth to advise founders, business owners, and technical leads:

  • Auditing existing BigBlueButton deployments, firewall configurations, and server sizing for schools and e-learning startups.
  • Acting as a sounding board for early-stage founders navigating cloud infrastructure trade-offs and vendor proposals.
  • Advocating for simple, maintainable architectures that prioritize reliability over resume-driven engineering.

4. Reading & Thinking

Currently reading and reflecting on:

  • Production engineering and site reliability engineering (SRE) field post-mortems.
  • Bootstrapped software economics, sustainable pricing models, and long-term customer retention.
  • The enduring elegance of UNIX philosophy: small, composable tools, text streams, and predictable systems.
